In the second part of episode 007 – available from mid September – we will be looking at some local choirs including The Halifax Choral Society, the world’s oldest regularly performing choir. This first part of the podcast, however, is devoted to six films being shown in Halifax during September. Our regular film previewers, Judy Green, Jeremy Walker and Steve Archer discuss the documentary For Sama, The Souvenir, Mrs Lowry & Son, The Big Meeting, Downton Abbey and Brad Pitt’s latest blockbuster, Ad Astra.

[* If you were wondering where the name comes from… Seat B1 is the seat in the Copper Auditorium at Square Chapel Arts Centre that is normally reserved for one the volunteer ushers. It’s a nod in the direction of the people who have made this podcast possible; the volunteers at Square Chapel.]
